On the Eve of the Election

Obama’s victory is inevitable at this point. Assured. His name is written in Destiny’s hand as the next President of the United States, and what a President he will be.
I wasn’t always an Obama fan. In fact, it took me quite a while to warm up to him. Now, and for the last month or so, perhaps longer, I can’t view any of the YouTube style or static photo montages put together featuring him without tears streaming down my face. Now, in fact, I revere him.
He has come not to save us, but to show us how to save ourselves, in other words to truly lead. And to heal. He will absolutely change the world, to a large extent by his mere presence.
Imagine what a gift of pure entitlement (equality) his presence in the White House will provide for every minority person in the world! Imagine the injection of pure permission to be all they can be, to rise and aspire, reach higher yet for each and every minority but especially African American in the United States. Turning on all that talent and ability, worldwide, and bringing people closer together will itself launch something of a world wide Renaissance.
On my way to waking up about Obama, one of the first things that caught my attention were his throngs of admirers and fans. Eventually there came a point where there were so many coming out to see him that I had to ask myself: what am *I* missing here? Obvously, I’m missing something. I was a Deaniac, so I know in my heart that crowds like that mean something. So i looked a little closer at Obama.
Then I began noticing his knack for turning attacks back on the attacker. Aikido Obama, I think of him. Remember when McCain goaded him into taking a trip to the Middle East and he triumphed big time?? Not only that, but he was met in Europe with adoring crowds as if he were already the president. It certianly made hm look plenty presidential. It made him look like a 21st Century JFK.
And then I began noticing his demeanor, and his campaign. Unflappable, unruffled, always. “No drama Obama.” And Oh! Lord, the competence. Ooozing out of their pores. Competence is a huge turn on for me, and this man and his campaign has that quality in abundance. Again and again I’ve dropped my jaw at the sheer competence, the organizatonal ability, the planning and execution. It’s been awesome to behold. It’s a big enough deal “just’ that he gathered around him these high level competent people to run his campaign. I look forward to Obama as President, but I look forward to seeing much more from his top people almost equally.
I also envision a government under Obama that exceeds expectations at all times. Staffed wth the types of people JFK brought into government — bright and accomplished people from universities, possibly industry — though since we already have too much business interference in our government nowadays (which is fascism), they would have to be chosen and placed very carefully, installed in spots where there were absolutely no opportunity let alone chance of conflict of interest. I could see an industry leader heading up the Peace Corps, for example.
Finally, I noticed and also realized that there was a wind at his back that had to be Destiny or Fate. He’s a very highly evolved, dare i say spiritual man. As so many have already pointed out, he is a once in a lifetime candidate and will be a once in a lifetime President.
I can’t wait.
